Family Pet Hospital Orthopedic Surgery

 Orthopedic surgery is essentially bone  and joint surgery.  Dr. Beebe has had advanced training in this area and is an especially skilled orthopedic surgeon.  Family Pet Hospital is one of the few veterinary hospitals in Grant County that can perform orthopedic surgery.   The most common reasons your pet may require orthopedic surgery are trauma (such as being hit by a car) or a torn cruciate ligament (a ligament that helps stabilize the knee).

Occasionally a pet may require even more specialized tools and extensive experience than our excellent surgeons can provide. On these occasions, Family Pet Hospital works with several specially trained and certified veterinary surgeons who will come directly to Family Pet Hospital so your pet can stay close to both you and home.

Unfortunately, similar sounding procedures are frequently not the same at all veterinary hospitals.  To ensure your pet receives high quality care, you need to choose a hospital with high standards.  When asking about any service, please inquire as to what is included in the procedure that you are interested in.  Also, inquire about what kind of monitoring is used for anesthesia.  A good clinic will be happy to discuss their procedures with you.
