Ria Arndt

Ria Arndt is our head Client Services Representative and it is often she who you are talking to on the phone or greeting you when you come in the door!

Ria joined the Family Pet Hospital team in September 2012. She previously worked for an animal hospital in Lakeville, MN for approximately 5 years before moving back “home”. She grew up in the Montfort area and currently resides in Dodgeville with her husband and young daughter. She is owned by Bowser, the Boston Terrier, and Ted, Gideon, and Harlowe, her Cornish Rex cats.

Shelby Winkers

Shelby joined Family Pet Hospital in April of 2017.  She is originally from Oakfield, WI and moved to the Platteville area in June 2016.  She has two Dachshunds at home named Romeo and Jasper.  In her free time she enjoys traveling, boating, and spending time outside with her pups!

Melissa Unzicker, Technician/Community Outreach Coordinator

Melissa Unzicker is originally from the East Coast with over 27 years experience in the veterinary field and 5 years of teaching experience.  As our inventory manager, Melissa is our go-to person for ordering and keeping our hospital well stocked and running smoothly.  Melissa also coordinates all our community outreach programs from our annual Fall Food Drive to hospital tours!

Melissa co-habitates with her husband, Tony, and daughter, Courtney. Her pets include a rottweiler named Rosie, a shih-tzu named Rooster, and a cat named Roger.

Becky Schwab, CVT

Becky Schwab joined our team in May 2012.  Before coming to Family Pet Hospital, she worked elsewhere as a Certified Veterinary Technician and has over 8 years of veterinary technician experience.  She has a Golden Retriever, Harvey, and a cat, Oliver.  With her farming background, Becky has always enjoyed animals.

Betty Hoff, CVT

Betty grew up on a dairy and beef farm in southwest Wisconsin. Her love for animals began at a very young age. Growing up with two older brothers, she had a variety of pets, ranging from lizards, guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs, cats, and hermit crabs. The list is endless.

Time went on and she continued to have a passion for helping animals and people at the same time. Having those two passions in mind, she decided to become a Certified Veterinary Technician and graduated in June of 2012. 


In her free time, she absolutely love to spend time with her two Arabian cross mares, enjoys going for hikes and walks with her dogs; a corgi mix named Mocha and a dachshund named Mango. Her home is ruled by her two little girls and a cat named Scotch.

Hillary Richardson, CVT

Hillary joined our team in June of 2017. She is a recent graduate of the Kirkwood Community College Veterinary Technician program in Cedar Rapids, IA.  Hillary also works at our sister practice in Galena, IL so you might meet her at either practice!  


In her free time, Hillary enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and spoiling her cats, Butters and Kolby.

Brandy Folks, Vet Tech

  

Brandy Folks joined our team in January of 2019. She is currently working her way through to becoming a certified veterinary technician.  


Brandy grew up with a passion for veterinary medicine as her mother is also a technician. She was born and raised in Galena, IL where she currently lives with her daughter Ella, 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, and a Manchester terrier mix named Daisy. 


Brandy also works in our Galena Square location so you may also meet her there.

Ally Biroschik

Ally Biroschik joined the Family Pet Hospital team in the winter of 2017.  She is currently a student at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville where she is studying Animal Science with an emphasis in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. She has always had a passion for working with animals since she has been a young girl.  During breaks, she enjoys spending time with her Miniature Australian Shepard, Ari, working on a dairy farm, and exhibiting dairy cattle.

Holli Hochberger

Holli joined our team in October 2018. She graduated from Iowa State University  in 2014 with a degree in Animal Science Pre-Veterinary Medicine. 


Holli lives outside of Platteville with her golden retreiver, Huck, horses, and alpacas. In her spare time, Holli enjoys reading, hiking, and horseback riding.

Callista Brogley

Callista joined Family Pet Hospital in the fall of 2018. She is currently a student at UW-Platteville where she is studying Animal Science with an emphasis in Pre-Vet. Callista has always been interested in veterinary medicine and has known she wanted to work with animals. 

In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family, as well as playing with her dog and two cats, Blue, Red, and Mazikeen.

Groomer

Cindy Schriber

We're excited to introduce our groomer, Cindy!

  

Cindy has been grooming since 2000.  She started with us in March 2019.


Cindy says, "Everyone’s pet is special to me.  If your pet is entrusted in my care, I guarantee you he/she will be treated with the utmost care.  All my grooms are on a one on one basis, and I try to make their time with me as stress-free as possible."


Cindy's family consists of her husband, 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren, 2 Cornish Rex cats, 3 Rat Terriers, and 2 Dutch Shepherds. She enjoys flower gardening, hiking, crocheting, and reading historical novels.
