Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Terry Beebe has been the owner and lead veterinarian at Family Pet Hospital, LLC since January 2006. He grew up locally on a dairy farm near Scales Mound, IL.  After graduating from the University of Illinois, he and his wife, Jolene, operated the family dairy farm with his parents for 12 years.  The dream of being a veterinarian lured him away from the family farm.  He attended classes at UW-Platteville for 2 years prior to going to veterinary school.  

Dr. Beebe received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University in 2000.  Dr. Beebe and Jolene have 3 children, Tanner, Jared, & Taylor.  They raise English Shepherds and their dogs are Tessa NOON, Buddy, Bella, Gracie, and Tuff. 

Dr. Beebe especially enjoys Preventative Medicine, Surgery, and Orthopedics.  Dr. Beebe has taken significant continuing education classes to further his veterinary skills, especially in orthopedics, and is one of the few veterinarians in the immediate area willing and able to perform most orthopedic surgeries. He delights in getting to know patients and clients as well as helping future veterinarians gain insight and experience in the profession. 

 Dr. Jessica Kassen is a native of northwest Illinois, where she grew up on her family farm with a wide variety of pets. She graduated from Iowa State University with her DVM in 2016 and previously practiced at a small animal/exotics clinic. 

Dr. Kassen and her husband live in rural southwest WI with their three young sons. Their current list of pets includes a dog, cats, chickens, goats, ducks and a horse. She loves to spend her free time baking and working in the garden.

Dr. Kassen enjoys getting to know families and their pets, and providing individualized care and support through every stage of their pet’s life.   

Dr. Emily Britton recently joined Family Pet Hospital, LLC in July 2024. She was born and raised on a dairy farm in Walpole, New Hampshire where she gained a strong work ethic and hands-on experience with animals and agricultural practices. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Veterinary and Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University in 2024.

Dr. Britton has a strong passion for Small Animal Surgery and Orthopedics, with a particular focus on providing advanced surgical care to improve the quality of life for pets. She is dedicated to staying current with the latest techniques and advancements in the field to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. Her goal is to combine skill and compassion to deliver precise, effective treatments for surgery patients and internal medicine cases.

In addition to her medical practice, she is a strong advocate for preventative wellness, believing in the importance of proactive care to maintain long-term health and well-being for every stage of life.

She recently relocated to Wisconsin with her Golden Retriever, Cheddar, and her two chinchillas, Lilo and Stitch. In her spare time, she enjoys weightlifting and spending time outdoors, appreciating nature and all that it has to offer.
