Updates on the Coronavirus and its effects on our daily practices

2022 Coronavirus Update

4/26/22 UPDATE: Our doors are unlocked as we continue meeting your pet's ongoing healthcare needs!

It's hard to believe we've been dealing with the Coronavirus for nearly two years.  We are so appreciative of our clients for their kindness and patience as we have tried to find a new normal in order to best care for not only the health of your pet, but to keep all the humans safe as well!

As we venture into the warmer weather, we have decided that it's finally time to unlock our doors and see all the smiling faces again! Although the coronavirus is still in pursuit, we continue to follow CDC guidelines. You may choose to wear a mask if you would like but you do not have to. If you prefer to have our staff wear a mask when you are here for an appointment, you may let us know when you arrive.

As a reminder, if you are experiencing any of the symptoms below we recommend that you reschedule your pet's appointment for a later time.

  • fever
  • chills
  • cough
  • shortness of breath
  • fatigue
  • muscle aches
  • headache
  • loss of taste or smell
  • sore throat
  • nasal congestion or rhinorrhea,
  • vomiting or diarrhea
  • skin rashes.

We have resumed normal scheduling of routine surgeries such as spays, neuters, and dental cleanings.

You will continue to be able to pick up food and medications. Please call ahead so we can guarantee their availability, or feel free to use our online store to have those items delivered right to your home.  You may also use our new app, PetDesk, to request refills to be picked up at the clinic.

2021 Coronavirus Update

2/6/2021

It's hard to believe we've been dealing with the Coronavirus for nearly a year.  We are so appreciative of our clients for their kindness and patience as we have tried to find a new normal in order to best care for not only the health of your pet, but to keep all the humans safe as well!

While we still have our doors closed to do our part to slow the spread of the virus, know that we are all looking forward to the day that we can welcome everyone back in and share those smiles and conversations we have surely missed.

As a reminder, this is how our car-side concierge service works.

  • Please remain in your vehicle and call us at 608-348-9581 upon arrival in our parking lot.
  • We will take your pet’s history and pertinent information over the phone.
  • Your pet should be on a leash or in a carrier and be easily handed to the technician who meets you at your car.
  • While you wait in your car, we will examine your pet, and the veterinarian will call you to discuss recommendations and treatments.
  •  We will take your credit card payment over the phone.
  • We will bring your receipt, applicable medications, and your pet back to your vehicle.

3/18/2020 UPDATE: We are open for business to meet your pet’s ongoing healthcare needs!

However, we are making some important changes to our daily routines and protocols in order to keep our clients and staff safe during this difficult situation. Things may change as the situation evolves, but we are taking these steps to minimize risk to all and to allow us to remain open to care for your pets.

The following changes are effective immediately:

Our hospital doors will be locked in order to practice social distancing and minimize the traffic in the clinic.

If you have a scheduled appointment, we ask that you call us when you arrive in the parking lot.

  • Please have your pet leashed or in a carrier prior to arrival.
  • Your pet’s history and health concerns will be discussed via phone.
  • A member of our team will come out to your vehicle to escort your pet into the clinic for the appointment while you wait in your vehicle.
  • Our doctors will call you to discuss your pet’s health concerns, their exam, and plan of care.
  • After treatment has been completed, you can speak with a client service representative to arrange credit card or check payment services.
  • One of our team members will return your pet to your vehicle.

If you are picking up a medication or food or dropping off a sample, please call us when you arrive. We will take your payment via phone and then come out to your vehicle to deliver your product or collect your sample.

On the rare circumstance that a client may be allowed into the building, we may ask you to wash your hands and/or wear a mask. If at all possible, only a single person should be present.

If you feel ill or have recently traveled, we urge you to reschedule your appointment.

Please check your food and medication supplies and notify us in advance if you are needing refills in the event that we need to order them due to increased demand.

Our staff will not be working if they are ill.

Please be assured that our current hospital cleaner/disinfectant is labeled as effective against COVID-19. Our cleaning and disinfecting practices continue to exceed recommendations.

We sincerely appreciate your help, cooperation, and understanding as we care for the health needs of your precious pet. You can reach us at 608-348-9581 should you have any questions.
